Loose Ends

This poor cardigan and I have recently been reunited after an extended on again, off again relationship that began two or three years ago. We've been taking things slow, since I'm a cardigan/sweater virgin. It's a simple pattern in varigated yarn. Now that I step back and take a look at it, I'm not crazy about the zigzag in the bust area, but what can one do? I think I've also cast off to tightly along the button band, so I may have to redo it. I'm hoping to finish the whole thing off soon. Meanwhile, the shawl continues to grow in size.
